He regularly uses natural dyes; however, the rising costs of natural herbs and minerals, coupled with the need for more affordable synthetic materials, have affected the demand for his art. Nonetheless, he remains unwavering in his commitment to maintain his legacy.
With vast experience, Anas Bhai has perfected the unique craft of hand block printing, skillfully implementing the intricate designs and layered prints that characterize Ajrakh and showcase its uniqueness as an art form.
At "rangamaati," one can discover a wide range of Ajrakh textiles, including sarees, fabrics, stoles, dupattas, and the new hand-crafted Khaddar shawls.
Each Ajrakh textile is carefully crafted by our master artisans, involving many handmade processes. Each color is derived from natural sources: blue from indigo, red from madder, dark greens and yellows from pomegranate skins and turmeric, browns from rhubarb root, purple from logwood, and black from scrap iron, along with various other naturally occurring hues.
