Among 87 organizations, Facebook India, recognised Project rangamaati as an Organisation driven by the Vision of establishing Sustainable Development for the Artisans and Karigaars of Bengal, India.

rangamaati has been utilizing the Facebook platform as a tool to bring more and more Artisan to surface and making people aware of the almost lost heritage arts of Bengal, India.

Kantha Stitch, Handweaving, Natural Dyes, Hand block prints like Ajrakh, Nandana,Tarapur to Shibori Tie Dye all have been brought in along with Hand Woven fabrics from Bengal and working towards jobs creation and Art Continuity.

Dipa Guhathakurta Project rangamaati Co-Founder was approached by Disha Luthra ,from ETSY an American e-commerce company /online marketplace focused on handmade or vintage items and craft supplies to share her views on Kantha Quilts as a Sustainable Eco friendly product with embroidered images for environmental awareness.

For us the interview is an overwhelming experience ,a recognition of our Artisans who hand embroiders and assits us in creating Intricately beuatiful,Colorful vibrant and Eco Friendly Kantha products…It became possible because of Sunanda and Disha from Esty .
